John Song is the Senior Pastor of City of Hope and loves helping people know the grace of Jesus Christ. A lifelong Columbia resident, John first worked as a band director in the Howard County Public School System before following God’s call to ministry. He earned his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and was ordained in 2017.
John serves in the Chesapeake Presbytery as the Missions Committee Chair, has served as an adjunct faculty at Metro Baltimore Seminary, and frequently guest speaks for churches, college ministries, and youth groups. When he’s not serving at the church, you’ll find him spending time with his wife, Paige, their two kids Calvin and Sophia, and their mini Goldendoodle, Nova—usually on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop, playground, and restaurant adventure.
