"In every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." Philippians 4:6

Praise God from whom all blessings flow:

  • For the birth of Arianna Beth Miller, who arrived on April 16!

    • Please pray for the following:

    • For wisdom, discernment and direction in regards to possible career opportunities for Theresa Simmons.
    • For the marriages of three couples known to the Simmons- prayer for a spirit of reconciliation, compassion, willing hearts and a vision beyond themselves.
    • For five men known through the Rte. 1 Homeless Ministry named Steve, Loren, Dan, Bob and Smitty who are being displaced from their camp, that they would find a safe place to live.
    • For the Horrocks as they continue to pursue adopting Mary, especially that the Interstate compact needed for the adoption would go through quickly. Pray for the Maryland state agency to receive paperwork from the North Carolina state agency. The Horrocks are grateful for the help of the Maryland social workers thus far, and expect them to expedite the process once they have this authorization.
    • For the Dingle family as they have returned to MD from Japan for a time. Pray specifically for Rebecca (wife/mom) as she continues to struggle with a difficult pregnancy, Kevin (husband/dad) as he continues his language study, Meg and Titus (kids) as they adjust to life in the States.

    Please continue praying:

    • For our pastors and elders as they lead our congregation and seek the Lord's will
    • For City of Hope's witness in the community, that we would make the mission of Jesus our priority in everything we do
    • That God's Spirit would bring conviction and transformation to the people of Columbia and beyond.
    • That God would grant wisdom and discernment to our community and government leaders
    • For strength and comfort to all those who are facing difficulties in their lives, families and marriages and that he would bring about change and renewal
    • For Cornerstone Community Church of God, that the Lord would bless their efforts and use them to touch many lives

    Missionaries we support:

    • The Passerellis serving in London with World Harvest Mission
    • The Jones Family serving in Quebec
      • Pray about a potential move next month. It seems to be a great opportunity: more space, less money, closer to church, less driving, etc. but there are logistics and obstacles to overcome first. Pray for wisdom from the Lord and that He would pave the way before them, whatever they should do. They don't want to move if it's not the Lord leading.
